What is the Dohop ConnectSure service?
The ConnectSure self-transfer protection service guards your self-connecting itinerary from the often high costs of rebooking in the wake of disruption. If your journey is disrupted by delays or cancellations which cause you to miss your connection, ConnectSure ensures that you have 24/7 customer service support to find a new flight and covers the cost of rebooking and other associated expenses, helping you continue your journey as smoothly as possible.
How we help
ConnectSure steps in when your connecting flight is at risk due to delays on the first leg of your journey. In the event of a missed connection, we will help you find and book a new flight and, if necessary, arrange accommodations and meals until you can continue your journey—all covered under ConnectSure.
What does ConnectSure cover?
With ConnectSure, you are covered in the following situations:
- Missed Connections Due to Delays: If your first flight is delayed and you miss your connecting flight, ConnectSure will assist you in finding and rebooking a new flight—and cover the cost of the new booking. If no suitable flights are available until the following day, we’ll also arrange and cover overnight accommodations and meals.
- Guidance for Airline Cancellations: If the second leg of your journey (the connecting flight) is cancelled, the airline operating that flight is responsible for rebooking or providing a refund. While ConnectSure will not cover these cancellations directly, we’ll guide you through contacting the airline or using their self-service tools (such as "Manage My Booking") to help you get rebooked.
- Complex Situations: If the first leg of your trip is cancelled, the airline operating that flight is responsible for finding an alternative for you. However, if this means you miss your connection, ConnectSure will step in to help rebook your connecting flight and cover the cost of the new booking.
Note: ConnectSure does not cover voluntary changes, such as altering your travel dates or cancelling your trip. The service is specifically designed to assist with disruptions caused by delayed or cancelled flights.
How ConnectSure works with airlines
Airlines have specific responsibilities in case of cancellations or disruptions:
- When the second leg is cancelled: The airline operating the cancelled flight is responsible for rebooking or refunding you. ConnectSure will guide you on how to contact the airline or use their self-service tools to rebook your flight.
- When the first leg is cancelled: The airline operating the first flight must find an alternative for you. If this causes you to miss your connecting flight, ConnectSure will help you rebook the next leg and cover the cost of the new booking.
Changes to Your Booking
If your travel plans are disrupted due to flight cancellations or delays:
- Flight Changes: ConnectSure will help rebook the connecting flight if the first leg is delayed and you miss your connection. We’ll cover the cost of the new booking. ConnectSure does not apply to voluntary changes initiated by the passenger (e.g., changing your travel dates).
- Refund Eligibility: If your trip is disrupted and you choose not to continue, ConnectSure provides the option for a refund on any unused connecting flights, depending on the situation.
